Cleaning and maintaining the beauty of the leather sofa

Leather sofa is a favorite of many people for its elegant, classic and durable. But if not treated properly, over time the surface of the skin will peel or crack. Caring and cleaning with a leather sofa is not as easy as one might imagine. Because even though including material easily cleaned, its surface is very vulnerable from weather and dirt.

The smooth surface of the leather sofa needs to be cleaned regularly, the easiest way is by rubbing with a damp cloth so that dirt and dust can be lifted. If the sofa is placed in an environment with little heat, or exposed to direct sunlight or other environmental factors, then a moisturizer is needed to avoid the risk of crack, torn and discolored.

Like your skin, leather sofa needs a treatment, especially moisturizers that protect from sunlight and air. So once or twice a year, you should treat the surface by washing it with soap and a sponge that has been moistened with a little warm water. Do the same with a variety of leather goods in your house, such as a leather bag or seat dining table. Use a little soap to cleanse and moisturize the surface. After the soap dries, rinse the surface of the sofa with a soft dry cloth.

Alternatively, you can use a liquid soap. Simply pour one or two drops of soap into warm water, then rubbed the soapy water using a cloth or sponge. If your sofa starts to look dull, the surface can be refreshed by using a special conditioner for leather.

Avoid cleaning the leather sofa by using a chemical cleaning material, especially the cleaning materials used to clean household items. Use of these chemicals, only makes the color and the surface having abrasion. Remember, just like your skin, leather sofas are very sensitive. So that the cleaning materials that are too hard and contains chemical elements, will make its surface becomes irritation and abrasion occur.
